Help with finding vintage tuxedos for groom and groomsmen?

We are having a vintage theme weddin, 1920s or 1930s. My dress is ivory the colors are pale pinks and grey, but I dont know if he should be in ivory or grey. We are having bridesmaids in some pink and grey and men in grey tuxs.

I would say no it would not look weird. Since he is the groom and has to stand out from the rest. You can look at thrift shops, or costume stores in your area for the clothing. I can not show you pics but you can go to google to look for that.

It is known as the era of glamour. Not much to spend, but lots to see. The sears catalogue had stated that, “thrift it the spirit of the day. Reckless spending is a thing of the past.”

The 1920s and 1930s
The 1920s and 1930s “White tie and tails” meant a black tailcoat and dress pants, worn with a white vest, a starched white shirt with a wing collar, and a white bow tie. ...

The time between the wars, the 1920 and 1930s, differed from each other in almost every respect. “The Roaring ’20s” ushered in a period of optimism and frivolity, complete with daring fashions for women that broke from the Victorian standard of dress. With the stock market crash of 1929, the 1930s were markedly more subdued. As the United States struggled through the Great Depression, the somber tones were reflected in people’s everyday wear, though cinematic stars still wore dazzling outfits. The 1920s and 1930s details how men and women dressed during the periods between World War I and World War II, giving ample examples of the style of costumes and fashions popular at the time.Chapters include:New Clothes for a New AgeGentlemen and Gangsters1920s Casual and Day Wear1930s Women's Wear1930s Men's WearThe Golden Age of Glamour1930s Day Wear, Sportswear, and Children's WearAccessories.

Wheel foundry part of Trenton's past

DAY 92/ Joe Tutty, who lived at Homesville on the Myra in Cape Breton, worked in the mines and on the Marconi tower. A Mr. Kilpatrick from Montreal looked up Joe and got him to move to Trenton and partner in the foundry he wanted to establish in the Maritimes.

The Eastern Car Company's demands established two auxiliary industries in Trenton, the Dominion Wheel Foundry and Tibbetts Paints Ltd. The foundry was located in back of the car works and operated until 1957.

When Eastern Car was constructed in 1912 to 1913, adjoining it was a foundry to supply the car works with cast iron wheels and brake shoes. Dominion Wheel Foundries Ltd., and its successor companies with a head office in Toronto leased the building and equipment from Eastern Car.

In 1957 steel wheels began to replace the cast iron. The foundry made wheels for every car assembled at Trenton. Wheels were also supplied to the Newfoundland Railway and customers in the Caribbean and Central Canada. In the mid 50's it was acquired by Canada Iron Foundries Ltd. Montreal.

1930′s Steel Rolex Oyster Bow Tie Dial Gents Vintage Watch ...

Every so often I find a genuinely important watch and this 1930′s steel Rolex Oyster sub-second is just such a piece. This ‘large size’ Oyster from the 1930′s is in near collector condition. The screw back/front provenance polished case is in excellent condition with only the most minimal signs of wear. The original Oyster screw down crown is working perfectly though the Rolex ‘cross’ has worn off over the years – it is definately the original crown though. The high grade, ‘Rolex Prima Fab Suisse’ movement has just been fully serviced by my professional watchmaker and is running beautifully. The original Rolex ‘bow-tie’ dial has been professionally refinished to the highest possible standard and is just breathtaking – there is a tiny spec on the dial just under the ’10′ – this is a piece of dust on the underside of the lens and will...
