Maybe because it is November probably one of the least loved months on the calendar. The days are dwindling down to a precious few. We tend to become nostalgic. One friend of mine claims this is a combination of light deprivation and over work. I am not so sure.
To keep up my spirits, I paid a visit to Stephane this weekend. Now if you don’t know this boutique, check it out. It is a store, but I do not think of this place as a shop. It is more a club where gentlemen of all ages hob knob and share stories over espresso, The people who come here are passionate about beautiful things and living life in style. Notice I did not say “lifestyle”. This is like saying LV=luxury.
It is located in one of the least touristy parts of the seventeenth arrondissement. The Batignolles neighborhood is still authentic featuring many artisans and designers hidden on tiny streets. It remains one of my favorite parts of Paris because it is genuine. Hemingway would have loved this area. Were he living today, he would have said, “it is honest and true”.
